Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Premiere!

Emma Watson- Pixie looking and absolutely beautiful. She danced around with a big smile on her face signing autographs.

Rupert Grint-shy and handsome. He walked to as many people as he could obliging them with photographs and autographs.

Tom Felton– the charming devil, appalled at the state of the waiting fans told us ladies to ‘take care’!

James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George)– stole everyone’s thunder as the tall, good looking pair (the movies do no justice) jumped around signing autographs and even taking photos for fans, with themselves in them.

Daniel Radcliffe, took his role as moody Harry in the seventh movie a little too seriously as he emerged from his car and was gone before anyone really knew he was there.

Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes and Jason Isaacs were a few of the other big names that made their presence felt at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part one.

I know because I was there, to see all the action as it unfolded. In the front row!

That was the good part.

Then come’s the bad. I stood for 7 hours from 11 am to 6 pm… Braved the cold and torrential rain (believe me it was like the weather gods were playing some sort of crazy game to watch us squirm) and starved the entire time.

It was an experience of a lifetime. The thrill of seeing the stars is irreplacable but one time is all I needed.

Never again will I put up with the elbowing and having books shoved in my face. It is torture to be stuck in the middle of excited fans. Who happen to be normal people except when they’re at a Harry Potter related event.

When they get here they are screaming monsters who will trample upon you to get closer to their favorite stars. You make enemies as people shriek at you because you came in their way and getting kneed and elbowed is commonplace.

There are good things and bad things, we joined forces with other fans to secure our front row barricades places and we bonded over our mutual love for the book/ movie franchise.

It’s amazing how these things bring people together as at the end of it, we were two Germans, two Indians and an American backing each other up.

We started of strangers and ended sharing the experience of a lifetime and I truly believe for the colorful, crazy mix of emotions it brings everyone should try it, once.
